What are quiet hours for UNT housing? ›

Sunday - Thursday: midnight –10 am. Friday and Saturday: midnight – noon.

In support of institutional goals of promoting education and personal welfare of students, all first-year college students are required to live in on-campus residence halls.

If Student withdraws from UNT prior to the end of the semester, Student must notify the Housing Assignments Office and vacate their assigned room and residence hall within 72 hours of providing notice of withdrawal to the UNT Dean of Students Office.

Overnight Guests

Longer guest stays are subject to Hall Director approval. A maximum of two guests are allowed in a multiple occupancy room on a given night. If a resident wishes to have a sibling or child who is a minor stay overnight the resident must obtain the consent of their Hall Director.

Housing offers four general room type options to residents - private single occupancy, single occupancy, double occupancy, and triple occupancy rooms. We have included the basic features of the room types below to help you decide which option might be best for you.

Applicants with scores from 145-164 will be individually reviewed and required to submit additional documents, such as an essay and letters of recommendation. Applicants who have completed 1-14 hours of college course work must meet a minimum college GPA requirement of 2.5 on a 4-point scale.

Based on all criteria, Team Omega concluded that the top 5 dorms at UNT are Bruce, Victory, Crumley, Kerr, and West Hall. If your most important criteria is the location to campus, then the student should choose to stay in Bruce, Kerr or Clark Hall.

Students are not permitted to:

Possess or consume alcohol while under the age of 21, be intoxicated due to alcohol while under the age of 21, or engage in other conduct violating the University policy on the use of alcoholic beverages.

Are UNT dorms coed? ›

[ Built in 1957 ] West Hall is one of UNT's “Economy Halls” that houses primarily freshmen students. This is a coed residence hall with men in north tower and women in south tower.

How do I pay for Housing? Your Housing charges will be posted to your myUNT student account. Payment for Housing will be made through the same account that you use to pay your tuition balance, your myUNT account. The balance for the semester will be combined with your tuition and fees costs for classes.

Room change requests will be processed on a first come, first served basis. Once space is available to accommodate a resident's room change request, he or she will be notified by the Desk Clerk and given instructions on how to complete the move.

UNT policy requires first year undergraduate students to live on campus. A student that graduated from high school the semester prior to enrolling at UNT and is enrolled for 9 or more semester hours is subject to that policy.

Students have a right to sleep and study in their residence halls. Therefore, disruptive or loud noise is prohibited. Minimum quiet hours are Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m., and Friday and Saturday, midnight to 10:00 a.m. Modified Quiet Hours will be in place before and during finals.

Noise: Hall quiet hours are from 10:00PM to 9:00AM Sunday through Thursday and from midnight to 10:00AM on Friday and Saturday. Courtesy hours are expected at all times. No amplified noise should be heard in the hallways or in other resident's rooms.
